35 years ago I arrived here in Little Rock, AR. It was a Sunday that I don't really remember much about but it was a great day nonetheless. It sent me on a winding journey that got me here.....starting this blog. I obsess about college football mainly. Never played football, but I've watched many many hours of it and learned alot. I've studied coaches and their styles and techniques and admired those with great knowledge of the game from afar. I know a few coaches, successful ones at that and I've spent time talking to them about the sport; and going back and forth with my thoughts and feelings about the sport. I have a desire to someday become a football coach, but I have no idea how I'll make that happen! I see myself as more of an offensive mind than defensive. Defensive concepts sometimes confuse me, they're sometimes difficult to understand. I understand them well enough to effectively execute offense though! I think that offense should dictate to the defense and not the other way around. I've spent time thinking about starting this blog and received encouragement to do so because of all of the teaching and explaining I do during the course of all the games I watch. My Favorite Teams: Arkansas Razorbacks-Despite the horrible start the Hogs have had, I remain a fan. I've spent most of my life in Arkansas and am a proud 2000 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. I can remember growing up and watching the Razorbacks with my dad and then going to my room or outside to play and pretend to be a Razorback. Good times! I have and have had some strong opinions about the Hogs. No doubt they will be a huge part of my blog. Oregon Ducks-I became a fan of the Quack Attack several years ago when they began experimenting with changing their uniforms. It made me take notice of the team and realize that they were pretty damn good too! I continue to follow the Ducks and all of their successes. They are my pick to win this year's National Championship in football. Go Ducks! New England Patriots-I began following the Patriots as a result of my favorite NFL player, Randy Moss, signing with the team. What he and Tom Brady did as a combo speaks for itself, even though they weren't able to win the Super Bowl. I also developed a liking for Tom Brady and his skill level and knowledge of the game. So despite Moss moving on I continue to follow the Patriots. I consider myself a fan and not a "fanatic", so I haven't decided if I think they'll go all the way this year. Memphis Grizzlies-Oddly enough living only a couple hours from Memphis I only recently became a fan of the Grizzlies. Reason being my brother, Coach Kelly Lambert, became their Strength and Conditioning Coach just prior to the start of the 2010 season. I want to see them succeed because I want to see him succeed. He's one of the most underrated Strength coaches in the country! Believe that! You may not have heard of him before now, but trust me you will hear much much more about him sooner rather than later. Hopefully at some point I can get him to contribute some knowledge to this blog. Los Angeles Lakers-Gotta love the Lake Show right!?!? I slowly became a fan of the Lakers though a really close friend of mine that is a huge Lakers fan and though getting to know a very special lady who is from southern California and religiously follows the Lakers. I can also remember as a child watching the "Showtime" Lakers with my dad. They've had some of the greatest teams in the NBA and they continue to be a great franchise. So there you have it.....a little about me, why I chose to start this blog and the teams you'll read the most about. I want to provide great content and excellent reading. I hope that you make this blog a source for information about sports and to get my opinions about sports. I also plan to throw other things in from time to time like music and some other things that I have interest in. Check back often and I hope you enjoy!! -Out CChilds3000 Next: The Implosion in Fayetteville continues.
