The No.2 ranked Georgia Bulldogs are set to continue their march through their SEC schedule this Saturday against the 12th ranked Missouri Tigers. The brief history between these two teams has given Bulldog fans a handful of exciting moments over the years. However, there is one player on the Bulldogs' roster who has experienced this rivalry from a different point of view.
Dominic Lovett is a wide receiver who joined the Bulldogs this season via the transfer portal. Prior to that, he was a mainstay on the Missouri Tigers offense where he played against the Bulldogs twice.
He was held in check during the Tigers' 2021 matchup with the Dawgs, where he had just two catches for -2 yards. But was much more effective in last season's matchup, where he caught six passes for a total of 84 yards.
This season, Lovett has become a major contributor to the Bulldogs' offense. The junior currently leads all Georgia receivers with 365 yards on 35 catches. He will look to have his biggest game of the season against his former team this Saturday.
