A prominent recruiting reporter has made a huge prediction about No. 1 quarterback recruit Dylan Raiola.

Steve Wiltfong, who is the director of recruiting for 247 Sports, on Monday switched his crystal ball prediction regarding Raiola from Georgia to Nebraska.

Raiola has been committed to Georgia since May. However, Wiltfong says that Raiola has spent the fall in Lincoln, Neb. Wiltfong reports that the Cornhuskers are “picking up steam” in their pursuit of Raiola.

ESPN’s Pete Thamel reports that Nebraska coaches told in-state QB commit Daniel Kaelin that they are in contention for Raiola.

Nebraska would make sense for Raiola for a number of reasons.

First off, Dylan’s father Dominic played at Nebraska before becoming a second-round pick by the Detroit Lions in 2001. Secondly, Georgia has Carson Beck at quarterback, who still has two years of eligibility left. By comparison, Nebraska has an opening at quarterback, though they are looking at potential transfers to fill the spot.

Raiola is a consensus five-star recruit for the class of 2024. 247 Sports rates him as the No. 1 QB in 2024 and the No. 2 player overall in the class.

If Raiola were to switch from Georgia to Nebraska, that would mark his second time switching commitments, and the third school to which he was committed. Prior to committing to Georgia, Raiola had been committed to Ohio State.
