The Philadelphia Eagles chose to pass on selecting any Georgia football products in the 2024 NFL Draft, but they still found a way to sign one afterward.
The Eagles turned to running back Kendall Milton in the undrafted free agency market and he's getting a nice deal from Philly.
According to NFL insider Aaron Wilson, Milton's UDFA deal with the Eagles includes a $25,000 signing bonus, a $225,000 guaranteed salary for $250,000 in total guarantees.
That's one of the highest undrafted free agent deals around the NFL so far.
From what I have seen so far, the highest paid UDFA's in guaranteed money

WR Xavier Weaver, Cardinals: 255K
RB Blake Watson, Broncos: 250K
RB Kendall Milton, Eagles: 250K
TE Brevyn Spann-Ford, Cowboys: 245K
CB Ja'Quan Sheppard, Raiders: 230K
S Owens/WR Williams/QB Hartman: 225K
That may look like a lot of money for a guy who didn't get drafted, but it just goes to show that the Eagles genuinely believe Milton can be an NFL player.
Milton's guaranteed money doesn't come with a guaranteed roster spot. That'll be something he will have to work for and it won't be easy.
The Eagles made a big splash in NFL free agency by signing Saquon Barkley to a massive three-year deal, which means he's automatically the team's bell cow in 2024. Philly also still has veteran Kenneth Gainwell on the roster and drafted Clemson's Will Shipley in the fourth round of the draft over the weekend.
But Milton knows a thing or two about hard work from his time as a Bulldog and can, and will, bring some tough competition to the Eagles' training camp this summer.
The two-time national champion could add even more dual-threat abilities to the Birds' backfield after racking up 1,839 yards and 23 touchdowns on 297 carries, along with 116 yards and a touchdown in the air through 41 games at Georgia.
Milton's injury history is a bit concerning, though he did bounce back from a hamstring injury in 2023 and ended the year posting career highs, all while leading the Bulldogs in rushing for the final five games of the season.
Milton isn't the fastest but he is the biggest back the Eagles have on their hands at 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds, which certainly benefits him as a reliable pass blocker.
If he can stay healthy and master his receiving skills, then he'll earn that roster spot.
