Former Alabama LB Will Anderson expected to play for Texans against Colts
Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

He became the first two-time Unanimous All-American for the University of Alabama, but Will Anderson has been an impactful rookie for the Houston Texans.

The native Georgian has 44 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and seven sacks in 14 games. Anderson, a former SEC Defensive Player of the Year, posted back-to-back games of 2+ sacks against Denver and Tennessee. He’s been dealing with an ankle injury; however, Anderson has a chance to lift the Texans into the AFC playoffs. Houston, who is 9-7 under head coach DeMeco Ryans, takes on the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday with a shot to win the AFC South. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Anderson is expected to play versus the Colts. He came to the Crimson Tide as a five-star in the 2020 class and became the most fearsome pass rusher since Derrick Thomas. Anderson helped Alabama to a College Football Playoff National Championship in 2020.

The two-time SEC Defensive Player of the Year and two-time Bronko Nagurski Award winner finished his collegiate career with 34.5 sacks and 62 tackles. Alabama fans will be looking to see how Anderson takes over the game versus Indianapolis.
