The Chicago Bears could be fantasy gold

Hoping to win a fantasy championship? Look no further than the Windy City. With a pair of top-10 talents added to the roster, the Chicago Bears have everything you need.

QB Caleb Williams

Without an NFL resume, some fantasy managers could be reluctant to take Williams over more established starters. That would be a mistake. Dual-threat quarterbacks often hit the ground running in fantasy football, with talented players like Williams offering a safe floor.

Williams ran for 27 touchdowns in his college career in addition to his prolific passing (10,082 yards, 93 touchdowns).

WR1 DJ Moore

Moore finished 2023 with the sixth-most fantasy points as the league’s six-leading receiver. His 1,364 yards and eight touchdowns were both career-highs and he even scored his first rushing touchdown against the Lions.

WR2 Keenan Allen

Allen managed 1,243 yards and seven scores despite missing four games with the Chargers in 2023, putting him in eighth place among fantasy receivers. He may have missed 11 games over the past two seasons, but after a career-high 108 receptions last season, Allen looks to have plenty in the tank.

RB D’Andre Swift

Chicago finished 2023 as the NFL’s second-best rushing team with 141.1 yards per game. D’Andre Swift’s 1,049 yards were fifth-most among running backs. Put the two together and Swift becomes a “set-and-forget” RB1.

TE Cole Kmet

Kmet also set a career mark with 73 catches for 719 yards last season while adding six touchdowns to the seven he had in 2022. He finished 2023 with the eighth-most fantasy points among tight ends and is entering his prime at 25-years-old.

K Cairo Santos

Santos made 35 field goals last season, second only to Cowboys rookie Brandon Aubrey, who made 36. His 150 fantasy points tied the Colts’ Matt Gay for second place in fantasy scoring as well.

DEF

The Bears defense finished 19th in fantasy football last season, which is amazing considering they finished seven weeks outside the top-25. But a trade for Washington’s Montez Sweat seemed to change the team’s fortunes after Week 9.

With Sweat on board, the team had five top-10 finishes, including a pair of top-3 performances against the Lions and Browns. The team obviously liked what they saw and gave Sweat a four-year, $98M contract in the offseason.
